Two veteran homeschool moms in Alabama have launched CottonMuffin.com, a new homeschool e-magazine focused on integrating the homeschool experience into every part of your life. Anita Ottinger, the magazine's publisher, writer and head photographer, is a veteran homeschool mom with 15 years homeschooling experience. She and her husband, Barry, have four grown children and a son- and daughter-in-law. They are the proud grandparents of one granddaughter and one due in March. They currently reside in Deatsville, where Anita is a part-time photographer and teaches French at Academy Days Co-op. Barry is employed by the United States Post Office. Publisher and writer Mimi Young is a veteran homeschool mom with eight years homeschooling experience. She and her husband, Craig, have two adult children and one granddaughter. They currently reside in Prattville, Alabama, where Mimi is a small retail business owner and Craig is a Communications Specialist. CottonMuffin.com features articles that relate solely to homeschool issues, plus articles on decorating, gardening, arts and crafts, recipes and politics, and even a teen section. There is a teen scene section where teens can send in their photography, artwork, poems and stories. Some of these things will be chosen for publication. There is also a teen forum where teens can talk about what is important to them. Parents can log into the parent forum and discuss our articles or any other subject important to them. Maybe you have an idea that would help other parents in their day-to-day homeschool activities. So log on CottonMuffin.com today and join their family!
